Clovers

Something about me: I always find four-leaf clovers. From spring to fall, I find clovers on a weekly basis.

My friends say, “I have never found a four-leaf clover! How do you always find them?!”

My answer is simple: I look for them!

And just as with anything in life - what you look for, you will find. Clovers are my reminder of this.

Notice the patches on your walk. Slow down, even stop for a moment. Let your eyes soften and search, like you’re playing a “where’s waldo” game. Then when you spot that four-leaf clover, it feels oh-so satisfying, like a secret treasure meant just for you.

The first clover I found of the year was this little baby one on April 26th.

In Canada where I live, it’s not possible to find clovers in the winter. The seed is dormant in the ground, resting under the layers of dirt and snow. But, just because you can’t see it, doesn’t mean it’s not there.

Life is the same. Sometimes, what you’re looking for takes time. It rests quietly under the surface. Then the season passes, and suddenly it’s blooming all around you.

Blessings, like clovers, appear in different shapes and sizes - tiny, quiet gifts or whole patches of abundance. The important thing is, they’re always there.

You just have to look. You’ll find it.

PS: Clovers are also my reminder of the beauty of genetic mutations! What makes them rare makes them special… :)
